VDIS uses Microsoft's Bing Maps to provide detailed road maps and aerial views of off-road areas to enhance geographic orientation of jobs and vehicles. Vehicle locations are plotted on the map by latitude and longitude as determine thourgh one of the GPS/AVL intefaces. Locations are reverse geocoded to determine the current address of the vehicle.



Routes can be generated for public road trips with turn-by-turn written directions as well as highlighted map imagery.
